Born and raised in Southern California, Steve sensed a calling to ministry while in college. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University (BA, Religion), and Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div). Following seminary, Steve served as both the youth & family minister (2 yrs) and the pulpit minister (9 yrs) at the Anderson Church of Christ in Anderson, CA, before accepting the position at the Tri-Valley Church in 2001. Steve and his wife, Casey, have three sons.

Jacob Parnell
Youth & Young Adult Minister
Jacob Parnell grew up in the Seattle, WA, area where he was taught what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. He met his wife, Lisa, at Peppedine University. After each of them graduated with a B.A. in Religion, they moved to Princeton, NJ, where Lisa earned her M.Div. with a focus in Youth Ministry. Then they moved to Memphis, TN, where Jacob earned his M.Div. at Harding University Graduate School of Religion. Throughout their entire marriage, Jacob and Lisa have worked together in youth ministry: three years at the Lower Bucks Church of Christ in Levittown, PA, and another two-and-a-half years at Sycamore View Church of Christ in Memphis. They now have a daughter named Molly and are excited to be working with the Tri-Valley teens and their families as their lives seek to reflect the image of Jesus.

Tony Merritt
Tony has been a Christian since his youth, and joined the Tri-Valley Church in 2000. He was appointed by the congregation as an elder in 2005. Tony works as Senior Technical Architect (IT) for AT&T in San Ramon, CA. Tony and his wife, Sheila, have four children.Tony Merritt

Mick Moul
Mick became a Christian and joined the Tri-Valley Church in 1978. He was appointed to the role of elder by the congregation in 2005. In his professional career, Mick owns his own construction company, Michael Moul Construction, in Tracy, CA. Mick and his wife, Carrie, have two daughters.
